Saint Joseph’s is a Church that has been serving its community in its current location since 1954. Located at 1401 Mickley Avenue, Jim Pfenning and Judy Myers are the people responsible for setting up the festival, and have been since 2008.
The festival usually takes place the same day every year, though it’s passed this year already.
At the festival they have a handful of rides and a bunch of food stands from different ethnicities. They have Vietnamese, Spanish, Italian, American, and the newest this year was African, My personal favorite is the Vietnamese.
During the festival, there is a white tent where people can go to participate in Auctioning and card games. Saint Joseph’s Parish first opened its doors on East Vermont street all the way back in 1873, after several relocations and renovations they finally made their way to Mickley Avenue and have stayed there since.

My name is Jasper Patterson and I’m a junior. I joined Spotlight in hopes to talk about things that I really enjoy, like music, movies, and other news related to those things. My favorite genre of music is metal and my favorite movie genre is horror. This year I’ve gotten involved in radio broadcasting class and am going to continue with helping with theater, be it being in the plays preferably, or being on the tech crew.
