The boys soccer squad lost two away games last week against Mooresville and North Central. They then beat Avon 2-0 at home on Saturday morning. On Monday, the Giants began the Marion County Tournament beating Southport after a 0-0 score in regular time led to BD inching out the 4-3 win in a penalty shoot-out.

The boys will head to Pike for the second round tonight. That will be followed by one final conference matchup at home against Carmel on Thursday. If the Giants beat Pike, they will play in the Marion County semifinals on Saturday morning. BD will then host Brownsburg to begin sectionals next Monday.

GIRLS SOCCER

The girls soccer team lost 8-1 to Pike last Wednesday and 5-0 against LN on Saturday morning. On Monday, the Lady Giants rose victorious over Southport in the first round of the Marion County Tournament, 3-2. They will face the Red Devils in Pike for the second round tonight. The girls will play Plainfield next Tuesday in the first round of sectionals.

UNIFIED FLAG FOOTBALL 

The unified flag football team won 46-26 over Franklin Central in their senior night last Wednesday. They will play sectionals at Brownsburg on Saturday starting with a first round matchup against the defending state champions Mooresville.

CROSS COUNTRY

The boys cross country team finished 4th in the MIC Meet on Saturday at Pike. Yosef Solomon finished 8th overall in the race, thus becoming the sixth Giant ever to be an All-MIC runner in consecutive seasons. 

The girls cross country team was able to place 7th in the MIC Meet. Both squads will head to Brebeuf this Saturday to race in the Marion County Meet. 

BOYS TENNIS

The boys tennis team won their second match of the season on Saturday over Speedway. It was a 4-1 victory for the Giants with 3 singles wins and a doubles win as well. The tennis squad then fell 5-0 vs Lawrence North on Monday. The Giants lost 5-0 at Warren last night. They will begin sectionals tonight at home against Cardinal Ritter.

VOLLEYBALL

The volleyball team fell in three sets to Avon last Tuesday. After dropping their first two sets against Warren last Thursday, the Giants rallied off three consecutive sets for the victory. On Monday, they lost another three set match against Zionsville. BD will face off against Lawrence North on Wednesday to begin the Marion County Tournament.

FOOTBALL

The football team fell to Lawrence North in their homecoming matchup 27-24. Angel Torres kicked a field goal for the Giants to send the game in overtime but a Lawrence North interception ended the game. BD will be on the road at Carmel this Friday.
