Wrestlers to host Senior Night

The wrestling team takes an impressive 11-2 dual meet record into Wednesday’s home meet against Pike. It is also Senior NIght with the meet scheduled to start at 6 p.m.
The wrestlers only have two home meets left on their schedule. The final home meet is January 9, the day we return to school from Christmas break.
After Wednesday’s meet, the wrestlers travel to Perry Meridian Saturday for the annual Marion County tournament.
Gage Eckels and Keith Parker are each 13-0 and Shaun Rayman is 11-2.
“We haven’t had a start like this in 20 years,” coach Brett Nabb said..

BOYS BASKETBALL

The boys basketball team improved to 3-1 with a 57-53 win over Franklin Central on Friday.
The boys travel to Warren Central Friday night and host Brownsburg Saturday.

SWIMMING

The girls swim team lost another tough one to Perry Meridian Monday night with a score of 113-72. Top finishers include Reese Kent in the 200 free, Rhylee Eaton in the 200 IM, Jenny Balmez in the 50 Free, Ashlinn Dial in the 1 meter diving, Lily Gibson and Isabel Huerta in the 100 fly, Eaton in the 100 Free, Kent in the 500 Free, Ni’Zuaray Johnson in the 100 Back and Annie Ray and Kinsey Bell in the 100 Breast.
The boys also lost a close one with a score of 106-78. First place finishers were Finan Doyle in both the 200 Free and 100 Back and Alex Ferguson in the 100 Breast. Other top finishers were Chase Miller in the 200 IM, Wyatt Caudill in the 50 Free, Alex Ferguson and Gabe Aquino in the 100 Fly, David Church in the 100 Free, Wyatt Caudill in the 500 Free, and Chase Miller in the 100 Breast.
The boys competed Saturday morning in a four way dual meet. Ben Davis won all four meets and the team now has a 5-1 record. The swimmers beat Covenant Christian 131- 0, Warren Central 99-56, International 105-51 and Cardinal Ritter 117-31.
The boys won the 200 medley relay and 400 free relay. Finan Doyle and Rylan Hogreve placed 1st and 2nd in the 200 IM. Tatum Paglia and David Church placed 1st and 2nd in the 50 Free. Tatum Paglia placed third in the 100 Fly. In the 500 Free, Gabe Aquino won and Nathan Villa placed third. Finan Doyle won the 100 Back. Rylan Hogreve and Chase Miller placed second and third in the 100 Breast.
The girls team also competed on Saturday morning in a four way dual meet. The ladies also beat all four teams and now have a record of 5-1. The swimmers beat Cardinal Ritter 126-32, International 151-3, Warren Central 117-50 and Covenant Christian 137-23.
The ladies won the 200 medley relay and the 400 free relay. Reese Kent placed second in the 200 free. Kinsey Bell and Jenny Balmez placed 2nd and 3rd in the 200 IM. Lily Gibson placed 2nd in the 50 free. Reese Kent won the 100 fly and Valery Aguilera-Balmez placed 3rd. Rhylee Eaton placed 3rd in the 100 free. In the 500 Free, Reese Eldridge and Kinsey Bell placed 2nd and 3rd. Keagan Shepherd and Ni’Zuaray Johnson placed 2nd and 3rd in the 100 back. Rhylee Eaton won the 100 Breast and Annie Ray placed third.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

The girls went 1-1 in the Marion County tourney, defeating Roncalli 56-53 on a buzzer beating three-pointer before losing to Pike 45-34. The girls are 3-8 and travel to Zionsville Thursday night.
