Junior Shewa Gared finished sixth overall in the boys race with a time of 16:54.7 while sophomore Toren Hartog paced the girls with a 10th place finish in 21:15.5.

This is a big week for the cross country teams as they host their own invitational this Saturday, where the Giants will debut a new cross country course.

Other big games this week for Giant athletics include a home boys soccer game tonight against Pike. The Giants are undefeated after six games and have only allowed one goal.

The girls golf team is in action today at the Marion County Tournament and the No. 1 rated Class 6A football team visits No. 3 Center Grove on Friday.
