Baseball team seeks new coach

Kroll resigns over fall break, headed to Roncalli

The Ben Davis baseball team said goodbye to their varsity head coach during fall break. After six seasons Coach Aaron Kroll turned in his resignation and accepted a head coaching job at Roncalli High School.

Coach Kroll finished with a successful season last year, going 15-13 with a sectional championship. Ben Davis and Roncalli did not play during Kroll’s final season.

“I wanted to bring a sectional championship to Ben Davis before I ever left,” Coach Kroll said. “I enjoyed my final season a lot.”

Coach Kroll texted players individually to keep them updated on practices and games. He sent a text to all players explaining his resignation and his new job at Roncalli.

“I’m going to miss all you guys and all the fun times we had at practices and our success,” coach Kroll said to his players. “Good luck next season.”

Athletic director Mr. John Clark has a big position to fill.

“We are interviewing next week and we have four great potential coaches to interview,” Clark said.

The baseball team looks to build on their sectional championship with a new coach in the upcoming season.
