Girls golfers finish second in county meet

Juniors Ellie Neff and Claire Thompson each received all-Marion County honors during Tuesday’s Marion County girls golf meet.

Neff and Thompson each shot an 88 during the 18-hole tournament to finish fourth and fifth, respectively, in the individual results. Ben Davis finished second as a team with 373 points while Roncalli won with 343. The Giants were without senior captain Madyson Elmore, who is nursing an injured wrist.

Ben Davis hosts Bishop Chatard at South Grove today.

In other Giant sports on Tuesday, the volleyball team lost 3-0 at Carmel while the boys soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision to Pike.
