I was in Jacksonville, Florida. It was around 9 p.m. And I was with my aunts and cousins.
We went to walk the pier. It was windy, not many people were there and it was dark.
All you could hear was the ocean so I walked halfway with my family and then stopped and they walked the rest of the way. I had been going through a lot and being alone not in my thoughts just being there in the moment it was a breath of air.
It made me feel like I was living life and not just surviving it. And seeing all the lights from other buildings in the far and the apartments where you can see how everyone has a different life everyone is going through things was cool to see the different lights and lives people live.
I didn’t wanna to leave. I could have sat there all night and just listened and watched because it meant I wasn’t in my head, overthinking everything. I was out of my mind, living the moment.
It was a good moment
