Now is time to make choice for second semester


With the fall semester now half over, we are ready to begin making plans for the second semester of the 2020-21 school year, which begins on January 20.   As was communicated in the summer, students and families have an opportunity to change their selection for the second semester regarding “in person” or “virtual” instruction.

Wayne Township is excited to begin updating preferences for families beginning on Monday, October 26. Please carefully read the following information regarding this process as you make your decision on your child’s placement for second semester.

  • Requests can be made between Monday, October 26th through Friday, November 6th.
  • Families who do not make a request during this time frame will remain in their current placement for the remainder of the school year.
  • To make a request, families should contact Ben Davis High School by calling 317-988-7000 or Ben Davis Ninth Grade Center at 317-988-7500.
  • Actual transitions will occur after the fall semester concludes, with students beginning their second semester assignment on Wednesday, January 20.
  • After November 6, you will not be able to request changes to your child’s placement unless extenuating circumstances exist.
