The Wayne Township Education Foundation received a $22,000 grant from Indiana University School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences, Health Careers Opportunity Program to renovate the pharmacy lab at Area 31, the area technical program housed at Ben Davis and serving eleven surrounding school districts with technical career opportunities.  This lab is used for Pharmacy Tech students as a simulation with hands-on, real-life experiences teaching students the various facets of working in a pharmacy from filling prescriptions to checking a customer out.  The new equipment provided by this grant authenticates the training experience for students and provides an edge as they pursue certification and job placement.
