Ishikawa named top photographer

Grace Ishikawa, a 2014 graduate, recently was awarded a First Place certificate from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association for her photo portfolio from the 2013-14 school year.

Ishikawa was photo editor of the Spotlight last year. CSPA is one of two national organizations that supports high school journalism efforts and their annual Gold Circle awards are considered one of the top honors in high school journalism. Ishikawa entered a portfolio of photographs she had published during the 2013-14 school year. She previously won best in Indiana for her photo portfolio from the 2012-13 school year.

Ishikawa is currently a freshman at Capital University in Ohio.
