A “Palindrome” is a word or phrase that reads the same backwards as forward. Lots of us remember talking about these words in Elementary school. Here is a list of some Palindromic words and phrases. (Some of them don’t make sense but they are funny)
- Able was I ere I saw Elba
- Alula
- Camp Mac
- Capac (Michigan)
- Civic
- Did Hannah see bees? Hannah did.
- Drawn onward
- dad
- Elk rap song? No sparkle.
- Elle
- Eve
- Evil, a sin, is alive.
- Hannah
- Madam, I’m Adam
- mom
- no lemon, no melon
- Solos
- race fast, safe car!
- racecar
- radar
- Rise to vote, sir.
- Rotator
These are just some of many Palindromes. They are in every story we read and we don’t even realize it.
