Plenty of options for spring break travel

There’s so many places to go on our upcoming spring break and it might be hard to narrow down to one thing. I will help you do so by giving some of my favorite locations to visit and what I will be doing on my spring break.

Starting off with Panama City Beach, Florida. No matter what kind of Panama City Beach vacation you’re dreaming about, Panama City Beach has been named the top 3 beach in the United States. 27-miles worth of beautiful beaches to choose from and you’ll find a different experience at each stop along the way.

I had so many things to do like kayaking, paddleboarding, jet skiing, or even diving, and while you’re at it, you will come across wildlife.. Explore waterways on a charter boat and explore Shell Island. Known for its sandy beach and crystal-clear waters.  When you get hungry there are countless restaurants to eat from right there on the beach. If you love long walks along the beach, you won’t find a better beach for it.

Next and most recent trip I’ve had was Orlando, Florida. Not just anywhere in Orlando but Orange Lake Resort. Orange Lake Resort has grown to the massive property spanning 1,450 acres and this resort is divided into four different villages; River Island, West Village, East Village, and North Village.

Don’t be stuck to one village because they have different activities to do. Activities like arcades, rock climbing, both mini golf and normal play golf, then with the add on of sports courts like basketball, tennis and pickleball. Imagine waking up in your village and walking right outside your door to a lazy river, mini golf, 7 pools, jet skis, golf courses, arcades and more all waiting for you and your crew. While you’re down there, you might as well head on down the street to Disney World, which is the cherry on top.

Now my upcoming visit is heading to the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee. I’ve been here before but there’s a reason why I’m going back there.

To be more specific, I’m renting out a cabin in Gatlinburg for a week. Now I’m going back because there’s just no wrongs with this place at all. Families, friends, and couples all can come to Gatlinburg to enjoy it all. From amazing cabins with beautiful views, museums, an aquarium, ziplines and whitewater rafting, world-class golf and fishing, and 800 miles of hiking trails in Great Smoky Mountains National Park and so much more that I could go on about. This place gives you the full package and just an overall great time with lots of memories to be made.

My Name is Jayden Atkins and I am a senior. This is my first year in Spotlight. I’ve played many sports here at Ben Davis, but have been playing baseball here the longest. Some things outside of sports I love to do are play video games, read comics and spend time with a special someone. I can’t wait to see how exciting this year will be.
