USA Today has Giants at No. 22 in nation

USA Today released its Super 25 high school footballl rankings today and Ben Davis is the only Indiana school in the Top 25, checking it at No. 22.

The Giants finished 8-3 last season, losing to Pike in the state tournament. Ben Davis returns two-year starter Kyle Castner at quarterback and a defense that will be anchored by linebacker Asmas Bilal.

Ben Davis opens the season at home August 22 against defending Class 5A state champion Cathedral.

The only other Indiana team mentioned in the USA Today poll is defending Class 6A champion Warren Central, who came in at No. 33.  Ben Davis visits Warren Central on Sept. 19. The Giants will debut Aug. 15 in  a scrimmage against Westfield, the state runner-up in Class 5A last season.
