The No. 1 rated Ben Davis Giants travel to Lawrence Central this Friday for a MIC football showdown. A win guarantees the Giants the conference championship. Three weeks later the Giants return to Lawrence Central to open the IHSAA state tournament.

The annual state tournament draw was announced Sunday with Ben Davis traveling to Lawrence Central in the opening week of action. All Class 6A teams have the first week of the 45th annual tournament as a bye week with sectional action opening on Oct. 27. The winner of the Ben Davis-LC game will play the winner of the Lawrence North vs. Warren Central game for the sectional championship.
