Our theater department is getting busy again with their fall semester play, Too many ghosts. The play is new, having been written by Todd Wallinger earlier this year.
Like the TV show Ghosts, the play follows Jo Crenshaw, a woman who dreams of turning an abandoned boarding home she inherited in Salem, Massachusetts into a successful bed and breakfast.
But to her and her daughter’s surprise the place is already home to five other ghosts, who don’t seem too excited to share it with endless amounts of guests. Jo quickly lays down the rule that there will be no haunting the guests, but Roland, a cobbler from the 1790s ends up scaring away the very first guests who just so happen to be one of the most popular travel blogger who claims the place is the “most haunted B&B in New England.” and within days the hotel is flooded with thrill seeking guests.
All of this grabs the attention of Julia, the owner of the largest hotel in town, After her plans to sabotage the property fail, she decides there’s only one way to put the B&B out of business, hire a trio of ghostbusters.
The cast list has a total of 24 possible roles, but some people were double casted.
