Senior Randy Balbuena made history this season.
Balbuena became the first swimmer or diver to reach the boys state championships since 2013 and the first BD diver to ever advance to the boys state finals.
This past weekend, Balbuena competed in the state finals. is the first Ben Davis male swimmer or diver to make the state finals since 2013, when Cole Crouch finished 17th in the 50 free in the state meet. Balbuena dove in the Saturday morning prelims and finished 31st with 127.3 points.
