Moonblood was a two man black metal band from Schneeberg, Saxony Germany. They formed in 1994 and split up in 2002, but the two members have gone back to work on another project named Demoniac.
For this, I chose to review their first full length album titled Blut & Krieg, which was released in March, 1997 via the short lived record label Majestic Union. Moonblood had already released 13 demos and one split in the years prior too this full-length. The lineup for Blut & Krieg includes the only two members, Occulta Mors (Tino Mothes) on All instruments and song writing, and Gaamalzagoth (Mirko Schmat) on vocals and lyrics. The previously mentioned label this album was released on, Majestic Union, was located in Kaisheim Germany.
The tracklist for this album has 10 songs and a total running time of 56 minutes and 52 seconds.
Tracklist:
- Midnight – Intro 0:47
- In a Bloody Night of Fullmoon 4:21
- Shadows 7:40
- …and Snow Covered the Lifeless Bodies 9:04
- My Evil Soul 7:11
- Blut & Krieg 6:02
- Kingdom of Forgotten Dreams 4:43

The album was co-released on sombre records, also located in Germany.
The album title Blut & Krieg Translates to Blood and War in German.
Overall this band is one of my favorites in black metal and this album is their best work. I’d give it a 9/10. Everything else this band has done is also really great in my opinion
