VOLLEYBALL

Purdue (8-1) defeated Kentucky 3-2, Texas A @ M- Corpus Christi 3-0, Murray State 3-0, and Eastern Michigan 3-1. Shavona Cuttino played in all five sets against Kentucky and had seven kills with one error in 17 attempts, one solo block, seven assisted blocks, and two digs. In two sets against Corpus Christi, she had five kills with two errors in nine tries, three assisted blocks, and one dig. The redshirt senior had six kills with no errors in nine attempts and assisted on five blocks in three sets against Murray; and 10 kills with three errors in 19 tries and assisted on three blocks in four sets against EMU.

FOOTBALL

Starting strong safety Jailyn Harden had one solo tackle and broke up one pass for Grand Valley (3-0) in a 27-3 defeat of Northwood.

Sir Zion Dance had two solo tackles, both for losses (13 yards total), for Marian (2-0) in a 49-0 win against Trinity International.

Starting linebacker Asmar Bilal assisted on three tackles for Notre Dame (2-1) in a 23-17 loss to Georgia.

Reese Taylor played for Indiana (3-1) in  a 38-3 defeat of Connecticut.

Darius Randolph saw action for Ohio Wesleyan (3-0) in a 55-3 win against Oberlin.

Jontae Dobson played for Southeast Missouri State (2-2) in a 56-10 in against West Virginia State.

Kailien Guillory played for Western Michigan (2-2) in a 52-33 loss to Syracuse.

MENS CROSS COUNTRY

Franklin finished 20th of 21 teams at the 8K John McNichols Invitational at Terre Haute, in a field that included top Division One teams from across the country.  Corbin Lee was seventh for Franklin and 256th of 268 overall in 32:00.  Matthew Lee was eighth for the Grizzlies and 258th overall in 32: 27.

Trace Perez competed for Indianapolis at Taylor’s 11 team 8K Ray Bullock Invitational and was 11th of 18 for the winning Greyhounds and 48th of 135 overall in 28:53.6.

MENS TENNIS

Marian defeated Spring Arbor 7-0.  The Knights’ Ian Deiters won 6-4, 6-0 at No. 4 singles, but lost 6-4 at No. 1 doubles.

WOMENS GOLF

Competing for fourth place DePauw at the seven team Dan Quale Collegiate Classic at Danville, Adrienne Pemberton was sixth for the Tigers and 31st of 43 overall with scores of 87-87-174.

WOMENS SOCCER

Franklin (0-7-1) lost 4-0 to Denison and ,despite scoring its first goals of the year, 3-2 to Kenyon. Taylor McDanielplayed in both matches and had one shot on goal against Denison.

MENS SOCCER

Starting midfielder Victor Villagomez took one shot on goal for St. Mary-of-the-Woods (6-1) in a 4-1 loss to Webster, its first loss of the season..
