Boys ranked 10th in first poll
The Ben Davis boys basketball team was not rated in preseason polls by The Associated Press. But after a 1-1 opening weekend against two top 10 teams, the boys were rated No. 10 in Class 4A by The Associated Press today.
The boys opened the season by beating Pike 72-64 and then dropping a tough 55-52 loss at Southport that wasn’t decided until the final basket. The Class 4A poll is dominated by MIC teams with Carmel No. 1 and North Central No. 4.
