The Class of 2026 plans to gather early before school the morning of August 29 for one of Ben Davis’s most beloved tradition, Senior Sunrise.
Seniors will fill the football field and watch the sun come up together to symbolize their final year of high school. This tradition represents new beginnings, reflection and unity as the class prepares for what’s ahead. Students are encouraged to bring cameras, blankets, and breakfast as donuts and coffee will be served along with some senior shirts that can be purchased.
Pajamas, hoodies, and cozy clothes are normally a usual sight for events like this, as seniors will spend time with their closest friends and take pictures to remember this day.
Senior sunrise is more than just a photo opportunity, it’s about being about to stand together as one in order to finish the year off strong. Gathering together on the football field, the Class of 2026 will be reminded that they’ve grown what they’ve accomplished since freshman year. As August 29 approaches, excitement is building.
Senior Sunrise will not only celebrate the start of the year but also create a memory that the class of 2026 will carry with them long after they leave high school.
