The fall season is here.
The temperature is changing, the trees are changing colors, and it’s getting darker earlier. But you may be wondering, what are some fun activities to do during the fall season?
There are plenty of things to do in the fall that are enjoyable for everyone! Going outside and being with nature is always a fun thing to do. Taking a walk or riding your bike in a park to feel the fall weather is a great way to start the season. Picnics are also a great way to be outside and see all the autumn colors.
Farms and Orchards are great for the fall time. Tuttle Orchards on the east side of Indy has things such as apple picking, pumpkins, corn mazes, fall treats, and so much more. Waterman’s Family Farm offers special hayride nights, a pumpkin patch, face painting, animal encounters, live concerts, and more. In Indianapolis, there are numerous types of festivals and events.
At Newfields, they have harvest nights where you look at festive decor and eat seasonal treats. Circle City Irish Fest has culture, food, music, dancing, and an overall fun fall experience. Locally Made: Indy’s Fall Fest has things such as arts and crafts, food trucks, and local vendors, while enjoying local culture.
And lastly, the Covered Bridge Festival in Parke County is going on right now and features hikes, rides and craft booths. And if you don’t want to be outside but still want that cozy fall experience, then going to a nice café and trying all of their fall-flavored coffee is a great way to do so.
You could also visit museums and or art galleries on a nice rainy or chilly day. And lastly, spending time with family and friends while putting up fall decorations and making your favorite food. The fall season is a way for you and your family to go out, explore, and have fun.
