Game 1 – The Hunter: Call of the Wild
Honestly, one of the most entertaining games to play when you’re bored.
In my opinion it’s one of the few realistic games as it lets you choose from an arsenal of Bows, Pistols, Rifles, and Shotguns with realistic Mechanisms like the slamfire on a shotgun (action of holding trigger down and pumping forend as fast as possible), or the added fact of several Hunting reserves that range from Alaska to New Zealand, letting you hunt endangered animals, small game from ducks to racoons, medium game ranging from coyotes to Boar, and large game ranging from Moose to Lions.
The game is also interesting as it shows actual real-life problems like invasive Species control, Poaching, Anthrax in Siberian permafrost, Tourists not taking warnings seriously, or governments wanting to turn Beautiful places into Resorts for the sake of making money.
Within the arsenal, there are other things, such as dogs, currently three dog breeds: a Bloodhound, German Shorthaired Pointer, and Labrador Retriever. All have their purposes. In the Arsenal, Weapons section, you have access to historical weapons such as muskets, antique military rifles, and rifles from the Second World War.
Within the actual reserves there is also little easter eggs I enjoyed such as Hirschfelden having German Helmets hidden in the southern area, Medved Taiga(Siberia) Having prehistoric artifacts hidden in caves, Vurhonga Savanna Having Prehistoric African cave paintings, or the others having historical buildings such as abandoned churches and cabins that give the reserves a feeling of being around for a long time, or the scotland map otherwise known as “Tòrr nan Sithean” having an entire haunted house.
FEATURES I LIKED
- The Wide Arsenal with over 60 shotguns, bows, rifles, and Pistols
- The number of animal species is over 112
- The little easter eggs
Game 2: Garry’s Mod
Honestly, the funniest smorgasbord of add-ons. Garry’s Mod was originally a modified version of Valve’s Game Half Life 2.
But with Garry’s Mod there is infinite possibilities such as animation, or just being goofy. It has over 1,928,480 mods with custom game modes such as Prop Hunt where you hide as an object from a seeker, trouble in terrorist town a game where there are two killers and they have to be found and killed before they win, or just the sandbox where you can mess around with your friends running from NextBots which are literally just a Jpeg of something that blasts music as it chases you.
There is fun in fighting your friends with hyper realistic guns or heavily unrealistic guns, using ported player models like characters from Wolfenstein or custom ones as Lego Walter White, or Japanese Spider man.
So lets put it like this you make a lobby for you and your friends that can range from 2 to 50 people lobby limits, and then you all run around as random characters except Nintendo Because they decided to sue gmod for using mario, or as objects like Dorito Bags, getting chased by Nextbots, shooting at each other, or if you want a calmer experience there are custom exploration maps with a lot of secrets or super big maps where you can fly planes and have aerial Dogfights with your friends. You can also have tank battles with your friends, most mod packs going from 40 to over 5000 mods, there are also dupes aka things built in the sandbox without mods like tanks or just straight up buildings.
THING I LIKED
- The amount of Customization
- The gamemodes
- Sandbox mode
