As the Indianapolis Colts meet the halfway point in the season, their record stands at 7-2. Their most recent loss came as they played the Pittsburgh Steelers in Pittsburgh, where the offense collapsed to the surprisingly dominant Steelers defense.
The Colts had six turnovers. With all the turnovers, the Colts still managed to be resilient by keeping getting the ball back and ended the game within one score of tying it.
As the trade deadline nears, the Colts went all in on getting a new cornerback to beef up their defense as they try to go far into the playoffs. That said cornerback they got was former Jets superstar cornerback Sauce Gardner. He will be reunited with his former Cincinnati Bearcats teammate, Alec Pierce.
With the addition of Gardner, it adds a new level to the Colts’ defensive secondary. With the likes of Kenny Moore II and Charvarius Ward. All good things must come at a cost, and that cost for the Colts was two first-round picks, and to also give former Texas wide receiver A.D. Mitchell.
The Colts stand at the #1 seed in the AFC following their loss. This next week the Colts will face a tough challenge, that being the Atlanta Falcons. That’s not the only challenge, but this game will be held in Berlin, Germany. The Colts offense will have to step up, and improve heavily from the last game where they scored the lowest they had all season, tying their other lowest of 20 points when they faced the Los Angeles Rams.
The offensive line was a key factor in the loss to the Steelers with allowing 3 quarterback fumbles, and 5 sacks. The Atlanta Falcons have one of the highest rated defenses in the league, and for the Colts to win they need to not repeat the same thing that happened in Pittsburgh. Finally one of the key factors to win on Sunday relies on the ground game of Jonathan Taylor. The Falcons have a strong defense overall but there run defense lacks power, with them giving up 126.4 yards a game and being ranked 22nd in the NFL
The Colts will be set to play the Atlanta Falcons at 9 a.m. Eastern Time due to the time zone difference since they will be playing in Berlin. You can watch through Hulu + Live TV, Youtube TV, Sling, and Fubo.
