Minnesota (7-4, 5-3) defeated Indiana (2-9, 0-8). Esezi Otomewo started on the defensive line for the Gophers and had one solo tackle and one quarterback hurry. Reese Taylor had five solo tackles and one pass broken up for the Hoosiers.

Purdue (7-4, 5-3) defeated Northwestern 32-14. Broc Thompson caught two passes for 14 yards for the Boilers.

Dawand Jones started on the offensive line for Ohio State (10-1, 8-0) in a 56-7 defeat of Michigan State.

Delbert Mimms played for North Carolina State (8-3, 5-2) in a 41-17 defeat of Syracuse.

Daylan Carnell had one solo tackle for Missouri (6-5, 3–4) in a 24-23 overtime win against Florida.

Rose-Hulman (8-3, 7-0) lost 26-21 to DePauw in the first round of the NCAA Division III Championships. Starting wide receiver Noah Thomas rushed three times for 34 yards and had nine receptions for 145 yards for the Engineers.

Fairleigh Dickinson-Florham (7-4, 5-3), playing in the East Coast Athletic Conference James Lynah Bowl,  defeated St. Vincent 38-19. Starting wide receiver Adrian Reese rushed once for five yards, caught five passes for 24 yards, returned a kickoff 16 yards, a fielded one punt with a fair catch.

In the first round of the NAIA National Championships, Marian (9-2) came back from a halftime deficit of 17-6 to defeat Southwestern, KS  21-17. Sir’ Zion Dance led the Knights with 14 tackles, four of them solo tackles, and recovered a fumble.

WOMENS BASKETBALL

Lakeland (2-2) lost 61-50 to Wheaton and defeated Blackburn 75-59. Brianna Jones led Lakeland in scoring against Wheaton with 16 points (5 for 10, 5 for 8, 1 for 4) and had two rebounds and one assist in 30 minutes. In the win against Blackburn, she had eight points (2 for 5, 0 for 2, 4 for 6), team highs in rebounds (11) and assists (4), one blocked shot, and two turnovers in 29 minutes.

Xavier (0-3) lost 77-73 to Miami, Ohio, Nia Clark’s former team. Clark had a team high 17 points (7 for 15, 1 for 6, 2 for 2), one rebound, three assists, three steals, and three turnovers in 37 minutes for Xavier.

Toledo (2-1) fell 69-60 to Dayton. Khera Goss had nine points (4 for 5, 1 for 2, 0 for 0), three rebounds, one steal, and one turnover in 26 minutes for Toledo.

Vincennes (5-3) lost 93-89 to the Lindsey Wilson jayvees and defeated the Indiana Tech jayvees 91-24 and Highland C.C. 89-40.  Cherelle Newsome had two points (1 for 8, 0 for 4, 0 for 0), two rebounds, three assists, two steals, and two turnovers in the loss; and 10 points (4 for 6, 2 for 3, 0 for 0), one rebound, and two assists against Indiana Tech; and 13 points 5 for 12, 3 for 6, 0 for 0), one rebound, three assists, three steals, and two turnovers against Highland.

Anderson (0-4) lost 79-54 to Wittenberg and 73-65 to Augustana. Maya Turner had one point (0 for 1, 0 for 0, 1 for 2), one rebound, and two turnovers in four minutes against Wittenberg. She did not play against Augustana.

MENS BASKETBALL

St.Leo (2-5) defeated Savannah State 107-67 and lost 80-72 to Florida Tech. Rob Fry had 12 points (4 for 5, 1 for 1, 3 for 4), six rebounds, one blocked shot, one steal, and two assists in 16 minutes against Savannah; and played one minute against Florida Tech.

Taylor (3-5) defeated Wilberforce 68-49 and Huntington 77-74. Jeff Clayton had four points (1 for 1, 0 for 0, 2 for 3), six rebounds, one blocked shot, one steal, and two assists in 29 minutes against Wilberforce; and four points (2 for 4), three rebounds, three assists, and four turnovers in 32 minutes against Huntington.

Illinois Central (4-2) defeated St. Louis CC 64-60. Josh Shannon had four points (2 for 4, 0 for 1, 0 for 0), one rebound, and one steal in 10 minutes for Illinois Central.

Wabash Valley (4-2) defeated Wilbur Wright 78-37. Jackson Gowdy had two points (1 for 3), four rebounds, and one assist for Wabash Valley.

Ball State (2-3) defeated Massachusetts 89-86 and lost 73-60 to Florida International and 85-74 to Weber State.  Jalen Windham had 13 points (3 for 7, 2 for 3, 5 for 5)  and two rebounds in 19 minutes against UMASS; eight points (3 for 10, 2 for 7, 0 for 0), one rebound, one assist, and two turnovers in 20 minutes against Florida International; and 11 points (2 for 7, 2 for 5, 5 for 5),three rebounds, and two turnovers in 25 minutes against Weber State.

Kankakee CC (6-1) defeated Joliet 83-77 and Lake Michigan 91-79. Jaylen Jennings had eight points (4 for 7, 0 for 1, 0 for 1), seven rebounds, one assist, one blocked shot,  and two turnovers in 18 minutes against Joliet; and seven points (3 for 5, 1 for 1, 0 for 1), six rebounds, and two blocked shots in 21 minutes against Lake Michigan.
