Boys, girls excel at Charlie Riley

No. 1 Giants again led by Conde

Both the girls and boys track team participated in the 55th annual Charlie Riley Track Invitational meet last weekend at North Central.

The boys finished in first with a score of 173, while the girls finished in second with a score of 114.

The outstanding athlete award was given to senior Moussa Conde, who finished first in pole vault and second in the 110 meter hurdle.

Finishing first for the Giants was the 4×100 team of Tony Allen, Derrick Jones, Jamie Akin and Chris Parish with a time of :43.16, the 4×400 team of Conde, Aaron Murray, Jones, and Christian Powell with a time of 3:21.74; Chris Evans in long jump with a 22-01; Jalil Brewer in shot put with 49-06.50; Justin Brandon in Discus with 147-00; Maya Caudle in the 100 meter with a time of 12.33 and Ravon Woodson in the 200 meter with a time of :25.71.
