The girls soccer team advanced to the sectional championship Tuesday night with a 4-1 overtime win against Decatur Central.
Goals were scored by sophomore Caroline Crouch (1) senior Sarah Kashman (1) and senior Mariah Allen-Harris (2). Assists were recorded by senior Jenna Casale and Allen-Harris while junior Audrey Poteet had four saves.
The girls advance to Thursday’s sectional final where they will play Brebeuf, who beat Pike 1-0 Tuesday night. Game time Thursday is 7 p.m.
In other action Tuesday, the boys tennis team lost 5-0 to No. 3 Park Tudor in the Avon regional. Tonight, the cross country teams host the MIC meet while the boys soccer team travels to Pike for sectional play.
