Counselors are being made available at Wayne Township schools today to help students deal with the loss of two Wayne Township students involved in a car accident Sunday afternoon.

The fatal accident occurred on Washington Street near Girls School Road. The driver of the second car remains hospitalized at Eskanazi Hospital. On Monday, the Marion County coroner’s office identified the victims as Aaron Koffi, 13, and Alexandra Koffi, 17. Alexandra was a junior at Ben Davis who was involved in the choir, orchestra and track team.
No cause for the accident has been reported.
The hashtag #smileforalex has been created on Twitter for students and staff to share their memories of Alexandra.
