Winter Games set for Feb. 10

On February 10, the Wayne Township Education Foundation and Metropolitan School District of Wayne Township will bring action to the Ben Davis Ninth Grade Center with the Wayne Winter Games and Giant Health Fair.  This power-packed day of fitness activities, a health fair and wellness demonstrations relating to fun, movement and health will feature both a competitive event for adults and fitness fun stations for kids.  Prizes will be awarded throughout the day.
Register by February 5 for the Team Competition which involves teams of four competing in a series of team/partner fitness activities plus a relay.  Registration is $40 per team; teams must be co-ed and 18 years of age.  Information about the team activities is available at wtef.wayne.k12.in.us/wayne-winter-games
From 9:30 a.m.-noon, the event will host free Fitness Fun Stations and the Giant Health Fair open to everyone.  The  Health Fair will involve more than 100 health and wellness organizations doing health screenings, healthy food samplings, safety demonstrations and much, much more.  Attendees will receive a “passport” that, once completed, may be redeemed for a medal and prizes.
