Ben Davis earns a C, township receives a B
DOE releases annual school grades
For the fourth straight year, Ben Davis High School earned a C grade in annual reporting from the Indiana Department of Education.
Wayne Township earned a grade of B overall with A grades handed out to Ben Davis University, Bridgeport Elementary, Chapel Glen Elementary, Chapelwood Elementary, Garden City Elementary, Maplewood Elementary, McClelland Elementary, Rhoades Elementary, Robey Elementary and Stout Field Elementary.
Those schools who received a B include North Wayne Elementary and Westlake Elementary while Cs went to Ben Davis, Lynhurst 7th and 8th Grade Center and Ben Davis Ninth Grade Center. Chapel Hill 7th and 8th Grade Center received a D and Achieve Virtual Academy received a F, although the grading scale is not designed for non-traditional online schools.
