Wayne Township schools today are mourning the loss of a 15-year-old female Ninth Grade Center student whose badly burned body was found Sunday afternoon behind a home on Elder Avenue.

Extra counselors are available at the Ninth Grade Center and schools throughout the township this week.  Superintendent Dr. Jeff Butts asked via twitter that anyone with information about this crime please contact CRIMESTOPPERS or a school official.

Police believe the girl may have been killed elsewhere and then moved to the Elder Street location. Police are continuing their investigation.
