The Ben Davis band community will participate in a memorial service for longtme volunteer Tom Barnett on Tuesday, August 20.

The service will be held in the Ben Davis High School main gymnasium. Visitation begins at 5 p.m,. with a musical tribute at 7:30 p.m. and the memorial service at 8 p.m. Barnett was a 40-year band volunteer and passed away last week after a long battle wuth cancer.

The family asks that “Memorial donations, in lieu of flowers, may be made to the Wayne Township Education Foundation for the establishment of the Tom Barnett Band Fund, which will support expanded training opportunities for Ben Davis band students in the future.
