With Thanksgiving just a week away, it is time to consider some tasty holiday treats.
1) Pumpkin Pie by LAUREN ALLEN
- 1 9-inch Homemade pie crust , or store-bought, deep dish, unbaked
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 2 large eggs
- 15 ounce can canned pumpkin or fresh pumpkin puree
- 12 ounce can evaporated milk
2) Old School Pecan Pie by divascancook
- 1 9-inch pie crust shell, unbaked (See notes for recipe)
- 1½ cups pecan halves (I use a mixture of chopped pecans and halves)
- ¾ cup dark brown sugar, packed
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon salt
- cinnamon, generous pinch
- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 large eggs, room temperature

12 pieces of nestle toll house refrigerated chocolate cookie bar dough
1 package f 80z cream cheese , softened
½ cup of carnation sweetened condensed milk
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 can 21 0z cherry pie filling
4) Buttermilk pie by Tracy Mulder
- Eggs: This recipe starts with three large eggs.
- Sugar: Sweeten things up with 1 ½ cups of white sugar.
- Butter: You’ll need a stick of softened butter.
- Flour: Three tablespoons of all-purpose flour helps thicken things up.
- Buttermilk: Of course, you’ll need buttermilk! A cup, to be exact.
- Lemon juice: A tablespoon of lemon juice adds welcome brightness.
- Vanilla: A teaspoon of vanilla extract enhances the overall flavor.
- Nutmeg: Freshly grated nutmeg lends warm, cozy flavor.
- Pie crust: Use a store-bought pie crust or make your own at home.
