Social studies chairman and student council sponsor Mike Vetter has announced plans for a student gathering in conjunction with upcoming homecoming activities.

The student council will sponsor a homecoming social October 2 from 4-7 p.m. in the band practice field. The outdoor activity will allow for more social distancing and will include a disc jockey, games and snacks. Cost is $10 and masks will be required. Tickets will be sold during lunch Sep[t. 20-24. No refunds will be allowed.

Students can wear formal or casual wear, as long as school appropriate dress is followed. No guests will be allowed and only Ben Davis High School students 10th-12th grade students will be able to attend. We will work hard on rescheduling if inclement weather is present.

Homecoming week is the week of September 27. Individual dress up themes will be announced this week. Students may nominate candidates for homecoming court starting today. Each Impact teacher has the link used for nominations.

Homecoming also marks the return of the BD Cup, which goes to the class who shows the most spirit during the school year. Impact classes are asked to decorate doors and provide goods for our Care Closest with points being awarded toward the BD Cup. The homecoming football game is Octobe 1 against Carmel. The homecoming court will be recognized that evening along with the announcement of the King and Queen.
