The Ben Davis wrestling team went 2-2 during Saturday’s Shamrock Duals at Westfield.

The Giants beat Greencastle 38-27 and Fort Wayne Carroll 46-25 but lost 51-21 to Hamilton Southeastern and 39-32 to Whiteland. That followed a 58-18 win over Danville at home last Thursday.

While the boys were busy at Westfield, the wrestling girls finished third in the Ben Davis Invite Saturday.

BOYS BASKETBALL

The No. 2 rated Giants went a perfect 2-0 over the weekend with wins over Pike (59-55) and Kokomo (58-51). The Giants face another tough weekend this week with games at Franklin Central Friday and against No. 1 Cathedral Saturday at Southport. The Cathedral game is part of the Forum Tip-Off Shootout and is the last of six games at Southport with a scheduled start of 8:30 p.m. It is a rematch of last year’s regional championship game won by Cathedral (72-57).

GIRLS BASKETBALL

The girls dropped to 5-3 following a 60-50 loss at Warsaw Friday night. The girls begin Marion County action Tuesday at Pike.
