Toledo (12-3, 6-0) defeated Central Michigan 74-49 and Northern Illinois 73-52. Khera Goss had 13 points (5 for 11, 3 for 6, 0 for 0), four rebounds, one assist, three steals, and three turnovers in 34 minutes against CMU; and four points (2 for 5, 0 for 2, 0 for 0), one rebound, two assists, and one turnover in 22 minutes against NIU.

Xavier (6-9, 1-5) lost 54-49 to Providence and 78-41 to Connecticut. Nia Clark did not play against Providence, but had five points (2 for 7, 1 for 3, 0 for 0), three rebounds, one assist, one blocked shot, two steals, and seven turnovers in 23 minutes against UCONN.

Vincennes (11-7) lost 84-74 to Rend Lake. Cherrelle Newsom had 13 points (4 for 13, 2 for 3, 3 for 3), three rebounds, two assists, one steal, and two turnovers for Vincennes.

MENS BASKETBALL

St. Leo (6-9) defeated Florida Southern 99-90 and lost 90-83 in overtime to Rollins. Rob Fry had five points (2 for 3, 1 for 1, 0 for 0), one assist,  two steals, and one turnover in 10 minutes in the win; and played five minutes in the loss.

Taylor (7-12, 3-5) defeated Spring Arbor 78-63 and lost 70-54 to St. Francis. Jeff Clayton had two points (1 for 1), two rebounds, two blocked shots, one steal, and two turnovers in 17 minutes in the win; and played five minutes in the loss.

St. Mary’s (TX) defeated Texas-Permian Basin 84-73.  Josh Brewer had seven points (3 for 6, 1 for 3, 0 for 0), four rebounds, one blocked shot, and three turnovers in 22 minutes  for St. Mary’s.

Illinois Central Community College (8-7) lost 75-63 to Danville and defeated Lincoln Land 84-81. Josh Shannon played two minutes in the win and had one blocked shot and one turnover.

MENS INDOOR TRACK AND FIELD

 Texas’s Jalil Brewer, competing at the Clemson Invitational, placed third in the shot put (61-5).

Vincennes competed at the John Craft Invitational at Eastern Illinois, and Ernest Momodu and Manamanya Opiew were members on the second place 4000 meters distance relay team (11: 09.49).

Trine’s Yosef Solomon placed 21st of 31 in the mile (4:57.33); and teammate Zach Bricker was 11th of 23 in the 3000 meters (9:28.66) at Trine’s Sean Brady Alumni Invitational.

Franklin’s Corbin Lee placed tenth in the 3000 meters (10:19.99) at the Robert H. Johnson Invitational at Wabash College.

Indiana State’s Michael Adams placed fifth of nine in the 60 meters dash (7.04) at ISU’s Coughlan/Malloy Cup.

Purdue-Fort Wayne’s Dona Fagon placed fourth of 11 in the 60 meter hurdles (8.61) and 11th of 33 in the 200 meter dash (23.10) at the Saginaw Valley Classic and Saginaw Valley, MI University.
