Senior Cristen Carter becomes the 15th player in school history to be named an Indiana All-Star in girls basketball.

“It’s all surreal and I just can’t believe how far I’ve come,” Carter said. “I’m very excited and blessed to be chosen, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds.”

Carter earned that honor Tuesday when the Indiana All-Star team was announced.

Carter, a Miami of Ohio recruit, reset Ben Davis’ single-season rebounding record with 355 boards over 28 games. The 6-3 center also scored 18.6 points per game and shot a career-best 51% from the field. She finished her career with 866 points and 695 rebounds.

Indiana All-Stars will play a girls-boys doubleheader against the Kentucky All-Stars in Owensboro, Ky., on June 9 and the rematch on June 10 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
