Pollution and global warming are two huge issues in the world we live in.

Global warming or better known as climate change, is more so a pollution blanket trapping heat around the Earth. Different kinds of pollution are; air, water, and land. Water and Land pollution contain trash, such as plastic water bottles, bags, papers, fast food, etc.

Air pollution is all kinds of gasses from; cars, factories, more so anything that burns fossil fuels, which mind you we are running low, if not out of. Global warming is a horrible thing. Glaciers are melting, which runs into our rivers and lakes, causing trees to bloom sooner, and animals in the Arctic being short of a home. Global warming causes heat waves, which is presenting a greater risk to heat-related illnesses and maybe even deaths, more frequently within people with diabetes, elderly, and some even very young.

The coral reefs are even in danger, as the ocean warms scientists fear that the coral reefs can’t adapt fast enough resulting in changing conditions, bleaching incidents and diseases will increase. Temperature rates are even rising faster than they ever had before, due to human activities such as; burning fossil fuels, deforestation, industrialization, along with pollution. An IPCC report in 2007 says sea levels will rise 7-23 inches by the end of the century. There has been tremendous increases with water vapor, carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, and many other greenhouse gasses from pollution build up.

Burning fossil fuels such as coal, oil, and gas starts on a massive scale. This doesn’t only increase greenhouse gasses but is also responsible for large scales of death due to asthma and other respiratory diseases or issues.

Ways you can help limit global warming are lower your heating and cooling, switch to LED light bulbs, hang things out to dry( if/ when possible), ride bikes, walk places if the weather is nice another plus with that s it can help with your health, train/bus or even carpools are available for longer distances.

There are even 4 R’s you can remember too — reduce, reuse, repair, and recycle. Do your part
