The rivalry game between Ben Davis and Warren Central has been around now for 76 years. Warren Central leads the series 51-31-3, with Ben Davis winning the game last year 6-3.

History shows that the winning team of the previous year is more likely to win for another year.

Starting in 1937 when Ben Davis defeated Warren 32-9. This began a streak for the Giants where they didn’t lose to Warren, but they tied once before losing to the Warriors in 1941. During the four year span Ben Davis outscored Warren 58-15 and shutout Warren in 1939 and 1940.

After the Warriors won in 1941 (6-0), they went on a winning streak for nine years and didn’t lose to the Giants for 10 (tied in 1950).

In recent history the Warriors defeated the Giants 12 out of the last 15 times, going on winning streaks two times in the 10-year span (2003 and 2008 Warren lost in regionals and 2009-2011).

The 2013 Giants look to build on a winning streak left by the 2012 Giants Friday, and show the eastside Warriors about the Westside Giant pride.
