Wayne Township Superintendent Dr. Jeff Butts greets a graduate during the 2019 graduation. Plans this year are to have two seperate graduation ceremonies on June 7 at Indiana Farmers Coliseum.

Principal Sandi Squire announced Tuesday evening plans for two seperate graduation ceremonies June 7 at the Indiana Farmers Coliseum. Her message is below:

“We are excited to announce that the class of 2021 will be graduating in person at the Indiana Farmers Coliseum on June 7th as planned! In order to meet the spectator requirements of the facility, and be able to offer 2 tickets for each student, we will hold two separate ceremonies on that day. We will keep with our 2020-21 hybrid tradition for these ceremonies.

Graduates with last names that end A-K will have rehearsal at 9am and graduation at 12 noon. Students will come to rehearsal dressed and ready. Rehearsal will take about 2 hours, then students will be offered a small snack after which we will line up and host graduation #1. Tickets will be electronic and students will be given the information on how to share the ticket link at the end of rehearsal.

Graduates with the last names that end L-Z will have rehearsal at 4pm and graduation at 7pm. Students will come to rehearsal dressed and ready. Rehearsal will take about 2 hours, then students will be offered a small snack after which we will line up and host graduation #2. Tickets will be electronic and students will be given the information on how to share the ticket link at the end of rehearsal.

We are very excited that the class of 2021 will be able to have an in person graduation, with spectators! To meet the guidelines in place today, we will be limited to 2 tickets per student.
As we get closer to graduation, if the guidelines for percentages in Marion Cty change, there is a chance we will be able to offer more tickets. So seniors, finish strong and complete all your credits so you can earn that Ben Davis diploma!

Thank you for your continued patience and flexibility as we work through this unprecedented time. A more detailed senior letter will be sent out via mail and parent square in the next month.

Ms. Squire, BDHS Principal”
