September 8, 2017
If you’re not really in “tune” (pun intended) with what’s going on in Downtown Indianapolis this September then pay attention
Between September 14-23, Indianapolis will be hosting its annual Jazz Fest. Now jazz itself isn’t everyone’s “forte” ,but the festival offers many food vendors so that each individual will be satisfied in some way.
This year the festival is offering many concerts, master classes, and panel discussions which are open to all ages. The activities will vary in location around Indianapolis so visit http://www.indyjazzfest.net/ for more information.
Some of the artists who are coming to perform include Tony Monaco, Jane Monheit, Kirk Whalum, and Dr. Lonnie Smith.
Not all musical events will be based upon instruments. Many singers and songwriters of jazz will be attending as well.
Finally, if you are intent on bringing young children then they can go to the jazz education classes to learn more about the history of the music style. Indy Jazz Fest offers something for everyone.
