Conde shines in relay win
No. 1 Giants have record-setting day
The Ben Davis boys track team won the Ben Davis Relays Saturday, scoring 129 points to second place Avon’s 98.
The Giants dominated the field events, winning four of five events with Jaymin Miles and Chris Evans setting a new meet record in the long jump.
“We performed extremely well,” coach Mike Davidson said. “We dominated a fw events and had great performances all around. It was a good meet for us.”
Harrison Goss, DeAndre Bluitt and Jailyn Harden tied the meet record in the high jump. The relay team of Wilkerson, Murray, Futrell and Anderson set a new school record in the Giant Medley Relay.
Moussa Conde set a new meet record with a state’s best time in the 300 hurdles. David Berhmann also set a new meet record winning the 3200m run. Conde was selected as the Henry Hopkins Most Outstanding Athlete of the meet. Other first place finishes include the 4 by 100, the big dog relay and Chris Parish in the 100 meters.
