The weekend started off with a bang for the girls cross country team  with a third place finish at the Danville Relays.

The lady Giants were led again by seniors Connie Brahm and Katelyn Speitel with their team finish of third place with an official time of 37:45.85 in the 3×1 mile pairs. Senior Regina Wright and sophomore Krysta Speitel weren’t too far behind with a 15^th place finish with an official time of 41:53.11.

In the open two-mile the lady Giants were led by Junior Meliza Rodriguez with an 18^th place finish with an official time of 15:15. Following Meliza was freshman Abbagail Speitel with 21^st place finish and an official time of 15:28.

“The lady Giants ran GREAT!  We are looking forward to running our 1st 5k next weekend,” Toothman said.
