Week 2 of the NFL’s regular season for your Indianapolis Colts was played on September 15 against the Green Bay Packers, which ended ended in a 16-10 defeat.
Despite the score showing a close 16-10 loss, that did not reflect how we played. The run defense was a big reason for last week’s loss against the Texans, allowing Joe Mixon to get 159 yards, off 30 carries. The Packers exposed Gus Bradley’s defense once again by having Josh Jacobs run for 151 yards on 32 carries.
Something that didn’t seem to translate to this game was Anthony Richardson. Texans’ week 1 game had a solid first game back with a 3/1 touchdown-to-interception ratio, with being 3/3 on 50+ yard throws. Week 2 was almost the complete opposite display, with 2 touchdowns and 4 interceptions.
Notable injuries this week were Deforest Buckner, a defensive juggernaut and team leader. Rookie Laiatu Latu went down with a hip injury. Reports say he should be “fine” following the injury.
This weekend, we will be back in Indianapolis against the Chicago Bears. The Bears fell short to the Texans on Sunday Night (13-19), a team we also fell short in Week 1 (27-29). This will be a challenge with the Bears’ young QB Caleb Williams and veteran receiver Keenan Allen
The game will be on CBS and start at 1 p.m.
