It’s that time of year again — the Indiana State Fair 2023 is open.
The aroma of funnel cakes and corndogs, the sound of kids and even adults screaming and squealing from rides are finally back. We all know about the animal attractions, food, ferris wheel, and a whole bunch more, but what’s new this year?
This year’s theme is “Celebrating basketball,” and there are several exhibits dedicated to basketball history of Indiana all across the state fairgrounds. During your time walking to see all of the basketball exhibits, there will also be family friendly basketball movies playing all night long.
Another new fun attraction this year is the “Swifty Swine Racing Pigs,” which will be located by the barn at the state fair. Although all of this is really fun things to do and explore, did you really go to the state fair without filling up on all the food?
This year there are over 140 food stands at the fairgrounds. Right now the top three best ranked foods are, “Bratchos,, “Buffalo Pork-n-Mac,” and lastly the “Flaming Hot Cheeto Corn in a Cup.”
This year at the Indiana State Fairgrounds there are so many new things to look at and explore. The state fair opened Friday, July 28 and will close Sunday, August 20 2023. Don’t miss out this year, remember to be safe, have fun and don’t forget to eat an elephant ear.
