Christmas is one of the most popular holidays around the world. More than “2 billion people in over 160 countries” (bureauworks) celebrate it.
There are many exciting things to do at this time of year, like spending time with family and friends, religious celebrations, and not having school.
First of all, spending time with family and friends is very common during the holidays, I enjoy visiting and seeing family as well. Many also hold Christmas parties or dinners and participate in gift exchanges. Sharing a meal with family and friends can be a good way to reconnect with them and to share.
There are also religious celebrations, such as Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and celebrating the Birth of Jesus in Christianity. I am a Christian, and for us, “Christmas is celebrated to remember the birth of Jesus Christ” (northwalesfire). However, Christmas is not the only time to celebrate Jesus, we should do that daily! These important celebrations help people get together and share their religious beliefs.
In addition, students receive a nice Christmas break after a long week of school with final exams. They can reset and get rid of any stress of school by being with their loved ones, enjoying the snow, and cooking and baking delicious dishes and treats.
There are also many activities like tree decorating, wrapping presents, caroling, and watching Christmas movies.
People celebrate many holidays, but I believe that Christmas is the one with the greatest significance and the best time to be with the people you love.
