Stress is a powerful reaction to pressure and it’s different for everyone, especially during these first few months of the school year.
Among the 8 billion people on the earth everyone deals with stress differently and has different ways to manage it. International stress awareness is from November 5-9 2024. A few ways to manage stress:
- Spending time/talking with someone; a friend, family member, therapist, spending time with people you love is always a great way to relieve tension and stress
- Set limits and boundaries for yourself; setting boundaries can prevent some things from escalating and can help others see what you do and do not want
- Learning to manage your time; managing your time can decrease the chances of you stressing about having to do something or procrastinating.
- Getting enough sleep at night; sleeping is important for your mind and body, it’s important that you sleep at least 8 hours a night to be well rested and sleeping can decrease your stress levels.
These are just a few ways you manage and decrease your stress. During International Stress Awareness week, take time to think about how you can manage your stress.
