Every year we have the opportunity to celebrate Halloween. Each year every parent’s goal is to make sure their child gets the costume they want and that they are genuinely excited to trick-or-treat.
With trick-or-treating being important, it comes with the importance of safety. There are many safe ways to trick-treat and places that are safe too.
One way you can make sure your children is safe is by choosing their costume smartly. Many costumes that children’s eyes get attracted to are those that come with masks. Although the mask adds to the costume, they can be dangerous. This is because of the possibility of them not being able to see well with Halloween being in the fall it gets darker earlier.
Everyone knows the excitement of taking out everything from your bucket and dumping it out after trick-or-treating. Eyes wide open when the eyes catch the big bars of candy. The love kids have for candy is another level, but before your child dumps the candy, you should check each single piece of candy. If any candy wrapper is seen slightly open, take precaution and throw it away.
The safest place to take your child trick-or-treating is in organizations like churches, schools, and others. In the westside Indianapolis there are many places to go. One of them is Krannert Park at 605 S. High School Road.
Churches are also recommended for trunk-or-treating. A church on the westside that is having a trunk or treat is the Lynhurst Baptist Church, starting at 6 p.m. and ending at 8 p.m. Avon this year is having a glow trick or treating the day of Halloween. Just imagine everything glowing and receiving candies. This is located at Pecar Nature Center in Avon. These are just some of the organizations that are kids friendly this Halloween 2024.
