Week 3 of the NFL 2024-25 season has concluded, and with that came the Indianapolis Colts first win this season. The Colts defeated the Bears at home with a score of 21-16.
Major improvements were seen this week with the defense in all aspects. The run game defense was visibly the biggest improvement withholding the Bears to 63 yards over 28 carries. Compare that to the Green Bay game where the Colts allowed 150 yards of running just in the first quarter.
The slow development of Anthony Richardson is still evident with being 50% on throwing and having a 0/2 touchdown to interception ratio. These performances in the last two games may be deterring, but this is only his seventh game played in the NFL.
Significant injuries this week are to starting cornerback Kenny Moore II with a hip injury, defensive end Kwity Paye with a quadricep injury, and Pro Bowl tackle Braden Smith suffering from a knee injury.
The Colts host the undefeated Pittsburgh Steelers this Sunday at home. This will be a tough test for our young struggling offense to get a win on the #1 defense in the NFL, only allowing 229.7 yards over three games. The Steelers, such as the Colts, are dealing with a slew of injuries on the offensive line, and the defense line with T.J. Watt having a minor knee injury.
The Colts play at home at 1 p.m.. Best ways to watch are through CBS, Paramount +, and YouTube TV.
