The Colts had their first game of the regular season this previous weekend, against the Texans. Here’s what I saw.
The Colts offense was keeping pace with the Texan’s explosive new additions of Stefon Diggs, and Joe Mixon. The star of our offense was Alec Pierce, with 3 receptions for 125 yards, and a touchdown.
Anthony Richardson showed a good start for the first game back since playing only four regular-season games last year. His state line was 9-19 for 212 yards, 2 touchdowns, and an interception.
What truly lost us in this game was our defense. We allowed Joe Mixon to get 30 carries and 159 yards, with a touchdown. This first test showed we are a capable team, who can fight for a win with playoff teams.
