The Wild Robot was nominated for the Golden Globes best animated motion picture and has a 97% rotten tomatoes score.
People begin to wonder if this movie is that good. This movie is about a robot who was the only survivor of a group of robots left stranded on an island.
The robot’s task is to return to its manufacturer but finds other tasks along the way. This model of robot always completes its task. It started becoming friends with the animals and adopting a goose after an accident had killed the rest of his family.
The robot is given the name Roz and was tasked by the other animals to raise this goose. Throughout the movie, Roz learns how to be a mother to this goose and calls it brightbill.
The movie does a really good job of representing a mother and son relationship, and it shows some choices that mothers have to make. Throughout the movie you can see how Roz becomes less of a robot and more human by the way her voice becomes less like a robot throughout the movie showing her progression as a mother to brightbill.
The movie has a lot of really sweet moments and shows a lot of emotion through the animals as we can hear them speak. The movie is sometimes a really big tearjerker as there’s a lot of emotional scenes in the movie. Also the animation of the movie is top level.
Even though there is a cartoony aspect to the art style alot of the backgrounds and scenery are really beautiful. The artist and the animators did an amazing job at making the characters look animated but the scenery looks almost real. The movie can be enjoyable for all audiences and is a really great family movie.
